Cars in German Town Found Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Police stated they were contacted by a resident who noticed a car in Hanau covered with reddish fluid

Around 50 automobiles have been marked with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Vehicles, walls and mailboxes were marked, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they stated in a release.

Police state they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a resident noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.

The substance had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they added.

Officers then found multiple other marked vehicles and house walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws banning the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials state initial examinations show the fluid was likely blood from a person.

"There is still no indication as to where it came from; authorities are not yet informed of any physical harm in association with the incident," they commented.

City officials stated they were trying "to resolve the mystery" and have appealed to the community for tips.

A high-ranking political figure said the attack made him speechless and required to be resolved rapidly.

"This incident affects the very heart of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the extremist terrorist attack five years ago," he stated on a platform, mentioning the death of nine people by a assailant focusing on residents of foreign heritage in 2020.
