I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
